use lava for the nether portal. it spreads slower

  • Slimedude042 3 weeks ago

maybe instead of using water to close the nether portal, you could use a piston.

  • darknightoftroy 3 weeks ago

Mumbo….. you failed at your stated objective.
I’ve made literally dozens of smaller bunkers than this.
You don’t need everything to be automated in a friggin bunker.
You’re in a bunker. The goal is to hide and have just what you need to survive.
I think you entirely missed the point of a bunker.
All you need is a secure entrance, a bed, a crafting table, and a chest.
Having a de-activable nether portal is a decent idea, but most of the redstone in this is counter-productive to being compact and quiet.

You could have used an iron pressure plate for the armor equipping station and have kept the nether dispensers where they were. Just a tip 😉

I got to say after taking a break from minecraft after redstone got screwed over by command blocks being the overpowered block they are, Mumbo is the few who still mess with redstone. I used watch Seth Bling because he always used redstone and was a genius at it. However, he lost interest in the game as command blocks were everything for map makers. Mumbo on the other hand is the next person to take sethbling’s place as the redstone master to display such extreme and interesting things redstone can do. I missed the 1.5.2 days where redstone was still the dominant thing to use, but Mumbo really brought back the nostalgic feeling of playing minecraft again and to mess with the redstone.

  • 2×1 hole. Simple

What if someone built a house on top of your bunker?

  • Earthenfist 3 weeks ago

One thing- on the torch-key, you should (if it still works) put a hopper minecart underneath the block, so that they key doesn’t lay there on the ground- in case you’re being pursued.

Why don’t you use a piston to get rid of the nether portal where the other dispenser was?

  • Inigo Diaz 3 weeks ago

The nether portal should connect to a micro nether bunker.
